The best collaboration and project management site on the web!

On September ,1 2010 we launched Binfire.com new site. It is by far the easiest project management and collaboration tool on the web. If you plan to subscribe to basecamphq.com or Clarizen.com, stop! Check our free version and you will never go back. What we offer for free has more features than what basecamphq.com offers for $24 per month. In a few months we will release a new version which has more innovative tools to make your job easier and more productive! We promise increase in productivity, ease of use and project visibility for all project stake holders.
The new release has project control panel, tasks & milestones (each task could be broken down to sub tasks), A project file folder to manage project files, status Tweet for project reporting and communication and a whiteboard! In addition each user gets a private web folder to store his personal files.

We did the switch!

The old site is called binfire.info now. If you type binfire.com, you are redirected to the binfire.info until Monday August 23, 2010. After that binfire.com will go to the new site! The official launch date for the new site is September 1, 2010.
Please don't register at the old site and don't upload files to it anymore. Download all your files (the ones you want to keep) to your local storage. Wait for the new site to be launched and then register and upload your files to the new site!

Download your files now!

Please download all your files that you would like to keep to your local storage. In a few days the new site will be up and running. You have to create a new account in the new Binfire and upload your files to the new site (unfortunately we can't transfer your files, you have to do it yourself!).

The current site will become binfire.info and will be accessible until the end of August (we might extent that a bit). After that the servers for the old site will go offline and all content will be deleted.
In summary, download all your files now! Check your email box for notification that the new site is up and running, sign up and upload all your files to the new site.

Latest update

We are beginning the process of disabling the current site and enabling the new site. Soon we will not accept new users and this site name will change to binfire.info. The new site will be http://www.binfire.com/
The website (binfire.info) maybe down for a few hours to a day or two while we are moving the website.

• For safety reason, please download all your important files during this transition period, even if you have requested your files be moved to the new site. We can't guaranty that files will be moved to the new site correctly.........

Update about the move

As I have mentioned in this blog for the past few weeks we plan to update and move our site in the late August. We will host our website and online file storage servers on Rackspace.com, one of the best and most secure site in the internet! The functionality in the site will totally change. The site will look very different too; I have attached a screen shot of the new interface here. Our emphasis will be collaboration and project management tools. We will have a better file hosting and file sharing scheme than what we have currently plus collaboration & project management tools including tasks & milestones, project folders, Secure Status Tweets and whiteboard.
We are investing heavily in the new site and plan to update the site again in late 2010.

Important things you should know about the move:

• In the first week of August we will disable registration in the old site, we will not accept new users!
• You need to request by email to move your account from the old site to the new site. Send email to support@binfire.com
• The deadline for move request is August 8,2010.
• All user accounts and files which are not moved to the new site will be deleted!
• You have until end of August 2010 to download your files if your account is not moved!
  
• Make sure you get an acknowledgment email from binfire.com regarding your request. If you do not receive an email within three days, please send the request again (we usually get back to you within a few hours)!
  

Important Notification!

Users who want to keep their files when we move to the new site need to contact us via email and request file transfer. We will not move files from our old servers to the new ones if we don't receive a request by August 20, 2010. All unclaimed files will be deleted at that date!
Check your mailbox for for an email from binfire.com which confirms the receipt of your request. If you don't get a reply with 3 days, please resend your request again.

Binfire.com is changing

We will release a new version of binfire.com soon. This version will be a totally new redesign. In addition to file hosting, the new site will have project management and collaboration tools. In addition we are moving our service to Rackspace.com. Although the user login information will be moved to the new servers, we don't plan to move user's files. The users can login to the new site and upload new files or move files from old server to the new one. There will be a one month time period for moving files from old servers to new one. Inactive accounts will be deleted after a month!
Why these changes? Because we have a new scalable site with very advance features plus top rated security and redundancy. The new site will have free and paid services. The free accounts will have the basic file hosting plus capability of creating one project. I will publish details about free and paid accounts at a later date.
I will update the progress of the new site and more details on this blog.
